Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) workshops are designed to help individuals recognize signs, provide support, and intervene in life-threatening situations. Together, we can make a difference in reducing the rate at which members of our communities are taking their own lives.

About the event
The ASIST 11 workshop is a two-day workshop for professionals and/or community members who want to feel more comfortable, confident and competent in helping to prevent the immediate risk of suicide. Participation in the full two days is required in order to receive certification. ASIST is designed to help participants recognize risk and learn how to intervene to keep a person at risk safe for now. Suicide can be prevented with the help of prepared professionals and/or community member. Enjoy small group discussions and skills practice that are based upon adult learning principles. Feel challenged and safe and learn suicide first aid. Trainings are open to all people, age 16+.
Fees
Standard Fees: $260+HST per participant.
Reduced Fees: Limited spaces available to students and volunteers at $200+HST.
All Fees Include participant materials and Meals for both training days.
